A young girl has died after a horror crash in Melbourne's east on Thursday night.
The 11-year-old girl was travelling in a silver Toyota Corolla with her parents and a four-year-old boy at the intersection of High Street and Wallace Roads in Wantirna South about 8.20pm when the car collided with a Nissan Skyline.
She was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she died last night.
The four-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Corolla, a 38-year-old Knoxfield woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The fourth passenger, a 38-year-old Knoxfield man was not physically injured.
Two male occupants of the Nissan sustained minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
