New Delhi: Thamma is taking the box office by storm. After a rocking Diwali opening, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s horror comedy is racing towards the Rs 100-crore worldwide mark—even as collections slowed slightly during weekdays, overseas markets gave Thamma a major boost by the weekend.

The film’s surprising performance is smashing industry expectations, hinting at a blockbuster run for Maddock Films and its stars.

Box Office Performance

Thamma earned Rs 66.58 crore net (Rs 78.20 crore gross) in India in its first four days, making a sensational debut with Rs 24 crore on Diwali itself. While collections declined steadily after the holiday, the dip was controlled, never exceeding 25 per cent on weekdays. By Friday, the domestic daily collection was Rs 9.55 crore net
