The J&K National Conference (NC) won three seats while BJP grabbed one seat in the Jammu and Kashmir Rajya Sabha Elections on Friday, Oct 24.
NC's Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan, Sajad Kichloo and Gurwinder Singh Oberoi (popularly known as Shammi Oberoi) registered easy wins on three seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party's Sat Sharma secured only one.
Ramzan and Kichloo secured 57 votes each, reported News18 JKLH, while the vote count for Oberoi is awaited as of yet. BJP's Sharma received 32 votes.
A total of 86 members voted in the elections out of the strength of 88 in the legislative assembly.
A total of seven candidates contested on the four seats in the polls, four from the NC and three from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The political observers expected the NC to win three seats
