Independent MP and Bihar strongman Pappu Yadav has lashed out after receiving a notice from the Income Tax Department for doling out cash to flood-affected families in the poll-bound state.
In an angry post on X, the Purnia MP, defiant despite the tax notice, said he would not stop helping people in distress even if he was branded a criminal.
"I have received an income tax notice; it has labelled distributing money to help flood victims as a crime. If this is a crime, then I will always continue to commit the crime of helping every deprived victim!" Yadav wrote in Hindi.
