SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Utah Jazz fought hard until the final whistle but ultimately fell short in a one-point loss to the Sacramento Kings at Golden 1 Center on Friday.
Lauri Markkanen led the way with 33, his first 30-point outing since March. Three other Jazzmen reached double figures, with Keyonte George trailing Markkanen with 18 points and 10 assists.
The Jazz actually won every single quarter other than the first, where they lost by seven points. Sacramento’s guard tandem of Zach LaVine and Malik Monk combined for 51 points in the Kings’ home opener.
