100 Years Ago, 1925: The Chester Christmas Cheer Workers, at a well-attended meeting last Sunday afternoon at the Second Presbyterian Church, third and Ulrich streets, unanimously decided to withdraw from the Children’s Christmas Cheer Association of Delaware County, and to form their association to be known as The Chester Children’s Christmas Cheer association, to take care of the poor children of Chester, Parkside, Marcus Hook, Trainer, Boothwyn, Upland and Eddystone.
