New Providence completed an unbeaten regular season and clinched the Big Central Conference’s Patriot Silver Division title with a convincing 32-7 win over Delaware Valley in Alexandria Friday night.

The Pioneers did everything right, moving the ball on the ground and in the air while playing lockdown defense as they took the Terriers out of the game early by scoring four first half touchdowns, good for a 26-0 lead at the intermission.

“You know something, this team has just been getting better every week,” New Providence coach Chet Parlavecchio said after his team finished the regular season 8-0. “A few weeks a go we lost our starting tailback and it kind of goes all the way back to August. We lost our starting center from a year ago in the first week of training camp to a torn ACL.
