BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — State police are investigating after a fatal car crash near Bloomington early Saturday morning.
According to Indiana State Police, troopers from the Bloomington District responded to a head-on crash on Interstate 69 northbound near the Sample Road interchange, north of Bloomington, around 6 a.m. Oct. 25.
Police said there were two vehicles involved: a blue Jeep and a blue GMC Sierra pickup truck.
ISP said there was a confirmed fatality.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken to IU Health Bloomington for treatment of sustained injuries.
Northbound traffic was diverted onto State Road 46 westbound from I-69 to US231. As of 9:30 a.m., all I-69 northbound lanes are open.
