HUNTINGTON — Women learned strategies for handling life’s changes at the third annual Women Warriors Summit, held Friday at the Marshall Health Network Arena and Convention Center. Hoda Kotb, former co-anchor of NBC’s "Today Show," was the headline speaker and journalist Soledad O’Brien returned as the host.

Alys Smith, first lady of Marshall University and founder of the summit, chose pivoting as the theme for this year’s event because everyone has to handle changes in their lives, she said.

“I think when you talk about a pivot, you get people to start thinking, maybe there's something better, maybe it's time for a change. And the changes can be big or small," Smith said.
