Red Sox prospect Johanfran Garcia homered in Salt River’s 5-4 loss to Scottsdale in an Arizona Fall League game on Friday.
The 20-year-old Garcia connected on an 86.5 mph sweeper from righty Anderson Brito, who is considered one of the two top pitching prospects in the Astros’ system . The right-handed hitter pulled it 349 feet to left field, a towering shot with a 34 degree launch angle.
He is 9-for-39 (.231) with a .333 on-base percentage, one home run, two doubles, five RBIs, seven runs, six walks and eight strikeouts in 10 games for Salt River.
Garcia is the brother of Red Sox outfield prospect Jhostynxon Garcia , who made his MLB debut in 2025.
