The woman who pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter and driving under the influence in connection with the death of Department of Transportation employee Andrew DiDomenico in June 2024 was sentenced on Friday and will serve five years in prison.

DiDomenico, 26, of Meriden, was working on the Wharton Brook Connector, the on-ramp to Interstate 91 in Wallingford, on June 28, 2024, when a vehicle went off the road and hit him, according to police.
