WASHINGTON, Mo. -- Hannibal volleyball traveled to Borgia High School on Thursday evening to open up the postseason in the Class 4 District 4 tournament.

The Lady Pirates overcame falling in the first set 25-22 to Lutheran St. Charles to win the next three sets to defeat Lutheran St. Charles 3-1 in the district quarterfinal.

Hannibal won the second set 25-22, third set 26-24 and fourth set 25-18.

Lady Pirates sophomore outside hitter Marissa Falconer finished with a team-high 24 kills and 19 digs.

Hannibal sophomore outside hitter Lyla Dorsey came away with 23 kills, two aces, two blocks and 16 digs.

Lady Pirates junior Aly Falconer ended the night with 10 kills, two aces, two blocks and 29 assists.

Hannibal senior setter Malia Stolte had 10 kills, two aces and 27 assists.
