Progress on child poverty in Scotland is "nowhere near enough", a charity has said, as thousands marched through Edinburgh to demand action. ‌

The Scotland Demands Better demonstration was organised by trade unions and charities to push for more action on poverty ahead of the UK Budget and next year's Scottish Parliament elections. They called for improvements in social security, better jobs and more investment in areas such as housing and transport. ‌
