FORSYTH, Mo. (KY3) - The Forsyth Board of Aldermen discussed the potential impeachment of Mayor Julie AuBuchon during a meeting Friday night, citing accusations of staff mismanagement and causing unnecessary workplace stress.
Board President Dennis Winzenried said members of the board and city staff believe AuBuchon has been mismanaging city staff and causing unnecessary stress in the workplace.
“We’ve looked at things in the city and feel this is a direction that we need to at least look at going, and study it. Tonight’s was to look at the cost of that,” Winzenried said.
The impeachment process would cost a minimum of $30,000 and could end with a public trial.
AuBuchon said impeachment would be a waste of city money because other projects need the funds.
