A motorbike rider in his 60s was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a collision near Northallerton. North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the serious RTC yesterday afternoon.

A spokesperson for the force said: "It happened yesterday (Friday, October 24, 2025) shortly after 1.15pm on Dolly Lane, in Yafforth near to Northallerton Equestrian Centre.

"It involved a red Suzuki SV1000 motorcycle, a silver Ford Transit panel van and a silver Landrover Discovery. The Ford Transit van and the motorcycle were travelling on Dolly Lane away from Yafforth and the Landrover was travelling in the opposite direction, away from the A684.
