MINNETONKA, Minn. — A popular Chinese-American restaurant, founded in Minnesota, is celebrating its 45th anniversary.
With over 40 locations, Leeann Chin is one of the largest fast-casual Asian restaurant chains in the Midwest, while also operating restaurants at the Atlanta and Baltimore airports. The brand is widely credited with creating the iconic Cream Cheese Puff, a crispy wonton appetizer that has been a menu favorite.
Leeann Chin, the restaurateur, entrepreneur and businesswoman who founded the first restaurant at Bonaventure Mall in Minnetonka in 1980, passed away in 2010.
Executive Vice President Liz Grzechowiak joined KARE 11 Saturday to discuss the anniversary.
