The District saw a violent night Friday evening into Saturday morning, with at least seven separate shootings injuring over a dozen people across the city. Multiple victims were teenagers and one was a child.

The most violent shooting was one near Howard University's campus . At least five people -- four adults and one teenager -- were struck and taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

That shooting, on Georgia Avenue and Howard Place, took place during Howard's homecoming weekend celebrations. Witnesses told News4 that dozens of people could be seen running after the shots were heard.

But it was just one of many shootings Friday night.
