Ranji Trophy fans witnessed a slice of history in Tinsukia on Saturday as Services pacers Arjun Sharma and Mohit Jangra pulled off something never seen before — two hat-tricks in the same match — during a chaotic Elite Group C clash against Assam, where 25 wickets tumbled in a single day.

Despite the mayhem, Assam managed to stay slightly ahead, reaching 56/5 in their second innings, a lead of 51 runs at stumps.

It was Arjun who lit up the morning with a fiery burst, removing Riyan Parag (36), Sumit Ghadigaonkar, and Sibsankar Roy off consecutive balls to complete his hat-trick and finish with 5/46. Assam were bowled out for 103, and that’s when Jangra joined the record books.
