Peel police say a man in his 30s is dead following a two-vehicle collision in Brampton early Saturday morning.

The incident took place at McVean Road, between Castlemore Road and Countryside Drive, and involved a white pickup truck and a blue Jeep.

In an email to CBC Toronto, Peel Regional Police said the call came in at 4:21 a.m.

Peel paramedics said they assessed three people at the scene and transported two to a local hospital — one with serious injuries and one in stable condition.

Police confirmed the two occupants of the truck have since been released from hospital.

Peel police said they are still unclear on the sequence of events but it appears to have been a head-on collision.
