As the sun played hide and seek at the Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, star India batter Harleen Deol walked out with a sense of purpose to hone her skills ahead of the team’s final group-stage clash against Bangladesh in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.

Harleen has faced challenges in the tournament and is yet to register a big score. She got starts against Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia, and England but couldn’t capitalise on them. Her strike-rotation ability has also been under scrutiny, with a strike rate of 75.11 - the lowest among recognised Indian batters in the tournament.
