Barcelona assistant coach Marcus Sorg opined that the criticism around Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal would only help him perform better.
Yamal courted controversy after claiming that the Blaugrana’s fierce rivals, Real Madrid, often steal and complain on a social media stream.
“Lamine is a top player and I think the criticism will be motivating for him," coach Hansi Flick’s assistant, Sorg said ahead of the highly anticipated El Clasico.
“I hope we all see him tomorrow (give) the best performance," he added.
Sorg also pointed to Barcelona’s victories over Benfica in which now Real Madrid fullback Alvaro Carreras represented the Portuguese side.
“Lamine is always motivated and if I remember right, we won all three games against Benfica," he recalle
