ACTION 8 UPDATE: Two people have been arrested in the murder of a man in Uniontown from earlier this month.

District Attorney Robert Turner, Jr., has announced that Martrell Carlisle and Jayelynn Cole were arrested yesterday in Huntsville. They are being held in the Madison County Jail, but will be transferred to Perry County where each will face two counts of capital murder, Turner said.

They are charged with the October 12 murder of 21-year-old Shermain Cain. As Action 8 News has reported , Cain was shot inside a vehicle near U.S. Highway 80. His death was the second homicide of the year in Uniontown.
