Jaipur, Oct 25: A hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas leak at the Rawatbhata Heavy Water Plant on Saturday left five employees affected, including one departmental worker and four contract staff.
According to plant authorities, the incident occurred while workers were performing field duties. Two employees have been referred to Kota for advanced treatment, while the remaining three are being treated at the Nuclear Power Plant Hospital.
One of the contract workers, Dharmendra Lohar, son of Mohan Lohar from Bhainsrodgarh, is in critical condition and has been transferred to Kota Hospital. Another affected individual, a soldier posted at Tower No. 11, reportedly suffered eye irritation and swelling due to the gas exposure.
