Animal lovers celebrated The Golden Age of Pawllywood at the 23rd annual Paws Gala on Sept. 27 at the Galveston Island Convention Center. Benefiting the Galveston Island Humane Society, this year’s event honored Frances Moody Buzbee for her contributions to the animal community and helping to raise funds for the island shelter. Guests were transported back to the glitz and glamour of classic Hollywood and enjoyed vintage cocktails, a seated dinner, live entertainment and silent and live auctions. Elite Pet Owner Lindsey Serrette and her pooches Georgia and Dolly took home top honors and will ride in the Krewe of Barkus & Meoux Mardi Gras Parade next year.
