If the Toronto Blue Jays indeed go on to win their first World Series in 32 years, Davis Schneider‘s pull-out couch will be a folk hero.
After Friday’s 11-4 rout of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Schneider revealed that Game 1 hero Addison Barger — who smashed the first pinch-hit home run in World Series history — had slept on his pull-out couch at the hotel inside Rogers Centre the night prior.
Sticking with a winning formula, Barger returned to that very couch on Friday night, per Schneider’s sister, Madeline.
Luckily for Barger, the sleeping arrangement is not in danger of becoming a superstition as the series moves to Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles for Game 3 on Monday.
Barger originally began sleeping at Schneider’s place when he was displaced from his own apartment with family in town f
