Fortunately for the University of Regina Rams they had already clinched a playoff berth.
It didn’t disappear like the 15-point lead they squandered in the final two minutes of their Canada West football game against the UBC Thunderbirds on Friday at Leibel Field.
“You always want to look on the bright side, so I think we’re definitely going to fix our mistakes, tune some things up,” Rams linebacker Brandon Wong said after UBC’s 31-29 overtime victory pushed the Thunderbirds into fourth place in conference standings — earning them a playoff berth — and relegated Regina to a second-place finish. “So you could say it’s a lesson there to work on some things.
“Whoever we play, we’ll prepare for it. At the end of the day it’s about us, the Rams, and making sure that we do our job.”
