Kendrick Perkins is learning that honesty in the sports world can come at a cost, especially when it involves LeBron James and his son, Bronny. On the “Out The Mud” podcast (Oct. 25), Perkins opened up about the fallout from his past comments that rubbed James the wrong way, all while he was still reeling from Luca Doncic’s ridiculous dunk.

He admitted that his critique of Bronny’s rise cost him relationships. Back in June 2024, James reportedly unfollowed Perkins on X after the former NBA big man questioned the hype around Bronny’s draft prospects, suggesting the coverage was driven more by legacy than performance.
