A 15-year-old boy has died following a collision in Chisago City that left four other people seriously injured, three of them children.
The collision was reported shortly before 2 a.m. at Stacy Trail and Ivywood Trail, where the Lakes Area Police Department said two vehicles – one driven by a 14-year-old – collided head-on.
A 2014 Toyota Camry, which was being driven by the 14-year-old and contained two 15-year-old boy passengers, was in a collision with a 2000 Toyota 4-Runner, which was being driven by a 17-year-old boy and contained an 18-year-old passenger.
One of the 15-year-old boys in the Camry died at the scene. The other 15-year-old boy and the 14-year-old driver – whose sex has not been confirmed by police – were seriously injured and taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
