CHICOPEE — Four months after taking the Eagles to their first Western Mass. final in boys volleyball, Bethany Souza brought the girls’ program to its first final on Saturday at Chicopee Comprehensive High School.

The boys just short of glory, losing in the fifth set to Southwick . But the girls completed the mission, as No. 1 Pioneer Valley Christian Academy girls volleyball defeated No. 3 Renaissance, 3-1 in the WMass Class D finals, the first WMass title in school history.
