On Monday, Oct. 20 NC Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey stood before perhaps 20 people at Fatty’s Eatery in Buxton and delivered a sobering message about the state’s role in insuring vulnerable oceanfront homes there.
That message was clear. The homes would have to be insured under the National Flood Insurance Program
