IMG Academy's national championship hopes only got stronger on Oct. 25, downing East St. Louis 38-14 and moving on to 8-0 on the year.

The Ascenders are ranked No. 1 in USA TODAY Florida's Super 25, and are ranked as the No. 4 team in in the nation by MaxPreps. It was abundantly clear why in their thrashing of the Flyers (No. 1 team in Illinois).

Lehky Thompkins carried the Ascender offense in the win. The Louisville commit finished with 201 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 22 touches. The Ascenders managed 296 yards of total offense as a team while Thompkins scored two of their three offensive touchdowns.
