Nguyen joins race for 6th Congressional seat

BOSTON — Democratic state Rep. Tram Nguyen has jumped into the 6th Congressional District race in a bid to become the state’s first Asian-American member of Congress.

In her campaign statement, Nguyen highlighted her family’s journey to the United States from Vietnam and how it shaped her into “a deep believer in democracy, fairness, and the power of government to be a force for good.”
