FORT WORTH, Texas — Fort Worth officers and bystanders rescued an infant trapped under an overturned vehicle after a crash this week. The Fort Worth Police Department shared body camera video of the dramatic rescue on social media.
Officers were called to the crash on I-30 between Eastchase Parkway and Cooks Lane around 9:30 a.m. Oct. 23, Fort Worth police say. The 911 call details indicated a one-year-old child and a woman, the child's mother, were ejected from the vehicle, police say.
The body camera video showed people searching around the car in a grassy area as officers arrived and helped search under the overturned vehicle.
"Under here, we need to move the car," an officer can be heard saying in the video.
The officers and bystanders moved the car enough for the baby to be pulled
