TORONTO - Blue Jays star Bo Bichette is not in Toronto’s starting lineup for Game 2 of the World Series.
Bichette played in Toronto’s 11-4 win in Game 1 on Friday after missing the last three weeks of the regular season and the first two rounds of the playoffs with a knee sprain.
He batted cleanup and shifted from his usual fielding position at shortstop to second base.
Bichette had a single in the first inning and ground into a double play in the third. He opened the Blue Jays’ decisive nine-run sixth inning with a walk before being replaced in the game by Isiah Kiner-Falefa.
Bichette had a fantastic 2025 campaign before sustaining the knee sprain. He had a .311 batting average and led Toronto with 181 hits.
Kiner-Falefa was tabbed to start at second base in Game 2.
