ONAWAY – It was a beautiful day, and it was an emotional day for a pair of football teams aiming to finish their respective seasons on a positive note.
For the Fennville Blackhawks, the season ended beautifully, as their senior-led team woke up offensively and rolled to a 60-6 victory over the Onaway Cardinals in a Week 9 clash in Onaway on Saturday.
The Blackhawks (5-4) wrapped up a winning campaign with the triumph, while the Cardinals (3-6) fell short in what would’ve been a second straight win to cap their season.
