Three men, one woman and a 13-year-old boy all sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, according to the Metropolitan Police Department

Two suspects have been taken into custody

Five people were injured in a shooting near Howard University in Washington, D.C., and two suspects have been taken into custody.

According to a statement from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), officers were called to Howard Place NW — just outside of the Howard campus — at around 8:30 p.m. local time on Friday, Oct. 24. They located five victims: three men, one woman and a teenage boy, all of whom were "conscious and breathing."

DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene and transported the victims to area
