LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Hundreds of families got a look at the education opportunities that Jefferson County Public Schools have to offer on Saturday.

JCPS held its showcase of schools.

The district gathered representatives from dozens of campuses under one roof to bring parents all the choices they offer.

That includes information about magnet schools, career programs and much more.

“You can literally walk your child’s educational journey if you wanted to,” JCPS member Carolyn Callahan said. “You can start by hearing your choices for elementary school, which will lead to this middle school, which will get you to this high school. So, it’s really nice to see the continuation of that.”

District officials estimated they had around 10,000 people show up for the event.
