NEPTUNE BEACH, Fla. — Two people, as well as their dog, were found dead inside a home on Saturday night, according to a commander with the Neptune Beach Police Department.
It happened in the area of North Street. Officials told First Coast News crews at the scene that they were found by a family member who went to go check in on them. The two people are both reportedly 77 years old.
Police say there is no foul play suspected, and the incident appears to be an accident at this time.
As of 8:00 p.m., North Street between 3rd Street and Second Street is currently blocked off as police are still on scene.
There is no threat to the public at this time, officials say.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit is set to take over the investigation.
