Nikita Kucherov has been an unstoppable offensive force for the Tampa Bay Lightning throughout his 12-year career in the NHL. The Guentzel goal gave the Lightning a 2-1 lead in the second period and head coach Jon Cooper 's team was able to extend the advantage to 3-1 by the end of the second period. That advantage is significant for the Lightning because the perennial contender has gotten off to a very slow 1-4-2 start that has seen them fall to last place in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference.
