AMES, Iowa (ABC4 Sports) - There was no letdown after the rivalry game this time.
Bear Bachmeier threw for 307 yards and two touchdowns, both to Parker Kingston, as the 11th-ranked Cougars came from 14 points down to beat Iowa State Saturday afternoon, 41-27.
Bachmeier also rushed for 49 yards and a touchdown, taking over the lead rushing duties after LJ Martin went down with an injury in the second quarter.
“We had a lot of things going against us in the beginning,” BYU coach Kalani Sitake said. “I'm glad our guys were able to hold their composure and keep pushing forward."
Kingston had a career day with seven catches for 133 yards and two scores, while Chase Roberts had eight receptions for 128 yards.
