SU squeaks by Buffalo in men's basketball exhibition; Betsey shines

Syracuse, N.Y. - It’s winter sports season.

Basketball games are being played.

Well, sorta. Syracuse opened its men’s basketball season in Buffalo with an exhibition road game against the hometown Bulls.

I’m reporting from my Syracuse home for the next week or so. (On the DL.)

First half: Syracuse 39, Buffalo 27. Final: Syracuse 76, Buffalo 66.

SU led by four with 1:22 left.

Syracuse turned it over a ton, which is to be expected somewhat because of the various lineup combinations. But the Orange really collapsed defensively late in this game, which was more concerning. 16
