RICHFIELD, Richfield Township — Three vehicles were badly damaged and three people were seriously injured in a crash on Central Avenue west of Toledo on Saturday night.

Police and rescue crews responded to the crash just after 8 p.m. near W. Central and Richfield Center Road, just east of State Route 295.

According to OSHP, a pickup truck was heading east on Central when it hit a Jeep that was traveling from an unknown direction. The Jeep hit a Bolt Express work van that was heading west on Central. The work van ended up in a ditch on the side of the road.

Investigators are still determining the exact order of events.

Three people were taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

OSHP says the victim in the work van had to be extricated.
