BROOKINGS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - For the first time ever, Brookings played host to a football matchup between the two top-ranked teams in Division I FCS. South Dakota State fans packed Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium for what looked to be a memorable night.
It wasn’t always this way, but Brookings is becoming accustomed to hosting big matchups on the gridiron. Of course, they’ve had great teams before making the jump to FCS and before this run of thirteen straight playoff appearances. When Jackrabbit Former Players Association President Ryan McKnight played Center from 2006 to 2009, they certainly had big games, but he’s honest about just how spoiled they’ve been watching the team’s recent success.
