Multiple people were struck in a shooting at Pennsylvania's Lincoln University, one of the nation's first historically Black colleges, authorities said Saturday night.
The Chester County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement that there are “multiple victims” and that law enforcement was responding to the school near Oxford, Pennsylvania, in Chester County.
The number of people shot and the extent of their injuries was not immediately known. The attack took place during homecoming weekend.
Though the nature of the shooting was not clear, Chester County Commissioner Eric Roe said in a statement that, "It appears there has been a mass shooting there tonight." He called for people to join him in prayer for students, faculty and law enforcement.
