BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Baton Rouge ranks third in midsize cities for baseball fans.
According to a study conducted by WalletHub, the capital area was ranked 27th overall out of 333 cities with at least one college or professional baseball team. These rankings were made based on 31 key indicators, including team performance levels, average ticket prices per game and stadium accessibility.
Baton Rouge has a total score of 22.9 with an MLB rank of 27, MiLB rank of 119, and an NCAA rank of 2.
New York City is ranked No. 1, while Jersey City, New Jersey, is ranked No. 333.
