Tulsa head coach Tre Lamb made the decision to go for a two-point conversion and the win in overtime, but the Golden Hurricane couldn't pull it off losing to Temple 38-37. With the loss, Tulsa falls to 2 and 6 on the year.

Running back Dominic Richardson tied the game 31 apiece with just under four minutes to go.

The Owls scored first in overtime with quarterback Evan Simon throwing his fifth touchdown pass of the game to Kajiya Hollawayne.

Needing to respond on their possession, on 4th and 5 TU quarterback Baylor Hayes hit tight end Brody Foley for the nine-yard touchdown. That's when Lamb rolled the dice and went for the win. Foley took the direct snap and when he tried to throw a pop pass, the ball slipped out of his hands the the throw fell incomplete.
