Week 9 meant the grand finale for some, the conference championship game for others, and a postseason tuneup for others.

But it produced plenty of Rockford-area high school football standouts. Here are some of the top performers for Week 9:

Ben Bucher, Belvidere North RB

Bucher had a 95-yard touchdown run on which no Harlem defender could close the gap, and he finished with 171 yards and two TDs during North's 42-14 win over the Huskies. The win gave the Blue Thunder the undefeated NIC-10 title.
