TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —Twin Falls County residents had a chance to safely dispose of unused medications Saturday.

The Twin Falls County Treatment & Recovery Clinic spent four hours helping residents properly dispose of unused drugs. They collected seven boxes worth of prescription medications, totaling more than 200 pounds.

While the event focused on taking back these drugs, organizers also offered additional services to help the community.

“We are also giving away Daterra, which is a medication disposal kit that makes it safe to throw those medications in the garbage. And then we’re also giving away Narcan just to get it out into the community,” said Rebbeca Magee with the Twin Falls Treatment and Recovery Clinic.
