There's nothing better in hockey than getting two points you didn't think you were going to get, and that's what the Firebirds pulled off Friday night.
Trailing 4-2 in the third and 4-3 with less than three minutes, the Firebirds got a goal from Jagger Firkus with 2:32 left to force overtime at Calgary. Then Jacob Melanson netted a pretty back-handed goal early in the 3-on-3 overtime to give the Firebirds a dramatic 5-4 overtime victory.
