SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Julius Davis ran over Cal Poly (literally, at one point) and Montana State’s defense continued its strong season in the Bobcats’ 34-17 win Saturday night at Spanos Stadium.
It was the sixth-straight win for No. 5-ranked Bobcats, who improved to 6-2 overall and 4-0 in Big Sky Conference play.
A 17-0 run gave the Cats a 27-3 lead early in the fourth quarter. Their first TD of the second half came on a run from Julius Davis, who ran through a tackle attempt from Mustangs all-conference safety Mason Rivera.
Davis finished with an MSU season-high 175 rushing yards.
